Gallery Presentation of: Survivors Art Foundation Outreach Program with Kosovo Refugees at Fort Dix, New Jersey
SAF conducted a mixed-media art program with the Kosovo refugees, Monday June 28 through Thursday, July 1. The project was a collaboration with SAF, the United States Army Arts and Crafts Department, the Department of Human Services and the Red Cross.
The theme of the pieces is “Flight to Freedom” … The event produced 38 circular pieces of art, and 10 enormous silk masterpieces created by adults.
After this exhibit, the pieces will tour with SAF National Exhibitions as well as the SAF Web Gallery. The Kosovo works are also slated to be shown at the United Nations UNIFEM Exhibition in June, 2000.
